House of DuBois Podcast will NOT be getting picked up by the LPFM Radio station here in Eugene Oregon. The Show didn’t fit their standards and thus failed a consensus programming vote. I can’t say that I’m not disappointed. I did just sign a one year lease in this apartment and that radio gig would have been a filling of the void left by the suspension of my traveler lifestyle.
Needless to say, with my patience for my roommates is quickly running out, and the complex I’m in wanting to charge a fee just to move to another apartment, It’s looking very likely that I will break this lease next month. I’m already in the process of looking into an Airbnb, no destination in particular, just out of here and away from these two (in an apartment meant for two…NOT THREE).
Speaking of House of DuBois podcast, I haven’t recorded another episode for a while and I might change the format. I planned House of DuBois as an interview and discussion podcast featuring people I Respect and find interesting. However, I was only able to pin down one guest. Other people I had planned are obviously very important in their field and in the rare cases they do have time for a podcast, it probably won’t be mine. We shall see though, bigger things have happened during the most unpredictable of times. The official start of the podcast is still November.
Lastly, this blog and this site in general. I designed this site to document my travels as well as my opinions and views on locations and in a few cases, people. In the post-covid-19 world, travel has pretty much stopped. So as a travel-focused blog and site, there’s not much to offer right now. Basically, what is a travel blog and site if there is no travel going on? It’s it’s time to take a step back to figure it all out.
So, I’m going to sit back for a month and figure it all out: what I’m going to do and where I’m going to take this blog to. Until then, Cya next month.
